Open BioSim
A redevelopment for a provider of open-source biomolecular simluation software.
Open BioSim returned to us for a revamp of their existing site in order to better reflect their current offering. We constructed the site based on designs provided to us, ensuring a simple and elegant build which would be easy to maintain and continue to expand in the future.
Project overview
We built the initial version of the Open BioSim website back in 2023 when they were first launching their software products and this provided them with a solid basis on which to start.
They returned to us in 2026, needing an overhaul of the site in order to better represent the organisation’s current offering but had a short timespan in which it needed to all be completed. We worked with them, and the designs which they had provided to us, to quickly and efficiently build the new version of the site.
For this build we made use of the Etch builder for WordPress, allowing us to create very lightweight code in order to appeal to search engines and LLMs, as well as ensuring the site can continue to flex and grow in the future.
I have been working with Arcas for several years now. Simon and his team have handled multiple projects for us, sometimes under fast turnaround pressures. I have always been very satisfied with the outcomes. Their maintenance service also make it hassle free to keep the websites working and let me focus my time on running the business.
