May 6th, 2008 - NEW PROJECT: Grantonyouth.com site update

We designed the original site for The Granton Youth Centre several years ago now and they are ready to make some site updates and additions/deletions which we are only too happy to do for them.

They have had a slight rebranding and have become a limited company so are semi-relaunching themselves in order to let a wider audience know who they are and what they do. We will therefore be adapting their current site to suit this new information and will probably be rebuilding the basic layout using CSS rather than its current tables-based layout.

We’ll post a link to the finished site once it has been completed.

May 6th, 2008 - NEW PROJECT: Baccus Consulting

We’ve begun work on another new website, this time for Baccus Consulting, a Lothian-based consultancy firm.

The client was happy with our proposal to develop for them a site to promote their business and so we have just begun to create some initial design layouts for them which we will be presenting to them soon.

Check back for more information soon!

April 15th, 2008 - Need A Low Cost Ecommerce Solution?

Actinic is a piece of software that can allow you to have a fully-featured ecommerce store up and running quickly and easily.

It allows us to develop the look and design of your website and then upload this to a web server which you can then use a piece of desktop software to connect to, to update and administer your website and the orders that you receive. It allows you to run special offers, discounts, add categories, edit products, assign product attributes (such as sizes for clothes, colours etc) and all without having to know a single piece of web design code!

Although it comes with built-in layouts these are for the most part very simplistic and we would strongly advise you to come to us to allow us to develop a custom look for your site that includes your own logos/colour schemes and images so that it best appeal to your potential clients.  As well as providing you with the basic design of your ecommerce site we can also help you get used to the software and train you on some of the more advanced capabilities that it offers.

If you are interested in setting up an ecommerce site and are operating on a tight budget then why not get in touch with us to find out more?

April 7th, 2008 - Clients Feedback Added To Site

We’ve now added a new page to our website which is feedback from our current and past website clients.

If you are interested in getting us to do some work for your own website then why not check out this page so that you can see what our clients think of the work that we have done in the past? Not only does it have selected quotes from our clients but it also provides an extensive list of the people and organisations that we have done work for so that you can see sites we have worked on that pertain specifically to the area of your business or activities.

April 4th, 2008 - NEW PROJECT: neypf.org.uk

We have been commissioned by the North Edinburgh Young People’s Forum, for whom we previously designed a single-page site, to develop a more extensive site for them.

The site will be developed in association with the young people who make up the forum members and although we are still finalising the content it is expected to contain a members-only area, member profile pages, a gallery and information about the various projects that the group is involved in.  Site development is expected to be between 3 and 4 months.

More info to follow!

March 26th, 2008 - New Site Optimisation

We’re currently working on optimising our own site for better search rankings and part of that process involves a link-building process. We are therefore proud to say that we are now affiliated with ApprovedIndex, the Edinburgh Directory and the FreeIndex.

As well as this we have re-optimised the content and structure of our site so will be tracking our search engine rankings over the coming weeks to see how it does. If you are interested in getting your own site optimised then contact us for more information and advice.

March 17th, 2008 - SITE LAUNCH: Babes in the Womb

We have just launched the reveloped site for Babes in the Womb.

Babes in the Womb are an Edinburgh-based private baby scanning clinic that serves customers across the whole of Scotland.

The site design was provided by a separate designer and we then took that and adjusted it to fit the needs and requirements of the client. The site includes contact forms and some flash galleries to highlight some examples of both still images and movie clips from the2D, 3D and 4D scans that they provide.

February 19th, 2008 - TENDER: ASME.org.uk redesign

We have been approached by ASME, an organisation aimed at promoting education amongst healthcare professionals, to tender for the redesign of their current website, creating a more accessible and easily updateable site.

The site will be rebuilt using a database and CSS to allow for ASME staff members to easily administer the site including updating and adding pages, and creating and managing downloads.
